Both modules now have interior and exterior walls and the construction crew has started with the installations for the prototype, together with the much appreciated help of Breman Installatiegroep. The installations are placed in preparation for the fact that the prototype will eventually function as an actual living space where SUM's visions of a symbiotic future will come to life.

All the floors in the prototype are insulated with recycled material from our partner ICell. The material is made from recycled paper and therefore 100% natural. SUM is super excited to use this product in the prototype to promote sustainable building and use this project to obtain more knowledge about sustainability within the built environment.

The actual construction in the Green Village on the campus of the TU Delft is also getting closer and the team is getting ready to kick off soon! The pre-fabrication in the factory is only a start of all that the team has planned for the upcoming year, so stay tuned for more updates on the construction of our prototype!
