Last week SUM continued working on the circulation core, which functions as the connection to the first floor. The completely wooden core is designed in large 3D elements that now come together as puzzle pieces to form the complete structure. One of the interesting and most challenging parts of this build are the stairs. They’re divided into a stair piece and tribune piece. This way the stairs can both be used in a functional and fun way. This week the team will finish the prefabrication in order to place the circulation core next week on site in Delft!
